On November 23, 2009, WALTER J. CARPENTER, beloved son of Richard B. Carpenter and Winifred W. Carpenter, loving brother of Tess, Mandi and Cassi Carpenter, dear grandson of Shirley and Dan Hunt. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Walter grew up in Hereford, MD. He attended school in Sparks, MD, the Carver School for the Arts in Towson and was a student at the Maryland School of Art. Walt was buried with:
His small stuffed animal owl
His camel cigarette box and lighter
His baby shoes
Picture of him on a swing at the Copycat
Key chain with "WALTER" on one side and "Smithsonian" on the other
Winged horse made with legos
His pocket knife
His Luke Skywalker action figure
A little bear.
Walter Carpenter was a great friend and easily one of the most talented people I have ever had the privilege to have known. He was a huge influence on my life, as well as countless others. He had also been a hugely influential member of Eerik Inpuj Sound — our humble experimental netlabel — and I doubt we will ever truly recover from this loss.

Also, if anyone has anything they'd like added to this page, please let me know! Walter was involved in many projects I was only vaguely aware of and I'd love to mention as many as possible.

Walter was extremely prolific, as I mentioned earlier. While we're working on our own archive, please enjoy his work at these other sites:
